GTA 6 preorders are open for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The safest route is Rockstar’s GTA VI page, which sends you to the appropriate official platform or approved buying path. Check the account region, edition, total price and renewal terms before paying.

There is no confirmed PC or Steam preorder. If a seller offers one, do not pay or download anything. Check the maintained PC and Steam status instead.

Where to preorder

This page does not maintain a long retailer list because stock, delivery promises and seller status can change quickly. Starting with Rockstar’s official GTA VI page is safer than trusting an advertisement or copied logo.

Rockstar Support’s preorder directory links directly to PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Rockstar Store, and says select retailers may participate where available. If an option is absent in your country, do not assume a store for another region will redeem on your account.

Safe preorder checklist

1. Start at Rockstar’s page or search inside your console’s own store.
2. Confirm the seller, platform and account region.
3. Choose Standard or Ultimate using the official contents—not a retailer’s shortened description.
4. Check whether you are buying digital or a box containing a download code.
5. Read the local bonus cutoff, refund terms and GTA+ conditions.
6. Save the receipt and order confirmation.

A paid search advertisement or a convincing logo is not proof that a store is genuine.

What preorder bonuses are included?

Rockstar says eligible purchases before the cutoff include the Vintage Vice City Pack. Its listed contents are:

• ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage
• Outfits and hairstyles
• An exclusive weapon pattern

Eligible digital preorders also include one redeemable month of GTA+. That month is not a permanent free membership. PlayStation’s US terms say the subscription continues and automatically renews at the regular monthly price until cancelled after redemption. Redemption deadlines and detailed terms can vary, so read the page for your actual store and region.

Rockstar’s Newswire describes preorders and purchases before November 20 as eligible, while a platform’s legal text may express the cutoff as the end of November 19. Follow the exact date, time and timezone displayed by the store you use.

Do not assume every benefit shown in an advertisement applies to a boxed code. Rockstar’s edition-and-version support page separates digital and physical inclusions.

Digital versus code in box

Standard is available digitally or in a box with a code. Ultimate is digital. The boxed Standard Edition does not include a disc. It is packaging for a download code, so it does not provide an offline disc installation.

Rockstar expects boxed-code copies to become available for shipping or pickup from November 12 to support preloading. Delivery timing remains a retailer matter; buying a box does not guarantee that it will reach you at a particular hour.

Rockstar advises buying from a retailer in the country of your platform account to reduce activation problems. Its support page lists detailed PlayStation code regions and says Xbox codes are not region-locked. Those rules concern code redemption; they do not make an unauthorized reseller trustworthy or guarantee an imported order will arrive on time.

For PlayStation, Rockstar says the code region must match the region of the platform account. Buying from a different country can therefore cause activation problems. Rockstar Support describes the Xbox code as not region-locked, but it is still wise to buy from a seller in your account country and read the local terms.

How GTA 6 preload works

Preload begins on November 12, 2026, according to Rockstar. Eligible digital preorders can begin downloading from that date. The boxed code version is also available from November 12 to support preloading. Rockstar’s announcement does not state one universal start hour.

Preloading does not unlock the game early. It places the required data on your console so less downloading is needed at release. Your console must have enough free storage and a working connection. Rockstar has not published a verified download size in the official materials checked, so ignore exact storage numbers presented without a live first-party source.

For a digital order, use the library and download controls in the store account that made the purchase. For a box, you need the code in hand and redeemed on the correct account before a download can start. In either case, check the store’s on-screen instructions rather than a social-media countdown or a third-party “preload tool.”

How to choose an edition

Standard includes the full game and is the lower-cost default. Ultimate adds a named collection of items spread through the story. Standard owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade later after redeeming their game code.

Refunds and cancellations

Refund rules depend on the store, country, payment method and whether content has been downloaded. Always open the current refund policy from the store where you will buy before placing the order. Do not rely on a general summary from another country.

If you might change your mind, pay particular attention to how preloading affects eligibility. Keep your confirmation email and avoid redeeming a third-party code until you have checked the edition and account region.

Three questions to ask before checkout

• Does this store charge immediately or closer to release in my country?
• Can I cancel after the download begins or after a code is redeemed?
• Will the included GTA+ month require an action to redeem, and what happens after it ends?

Those answers can vary by platform and region. The current policy linked from your checkout is more reliable than a general rule copied from another country.

What happens after you order

Save the receipt, confirm the purchase appears in the correct console library, and review any redemption deadline for the included GTA+ month. Before November 12, check the store page again for the current preload instructions and storage requirement. Preloading is not early access: it prepares the download but does not make the game playable before release.

Scam warning

There is no reason to download a separate “preorder launcher,” provide a Rockstar password to a retailer, pay with cryptocurrency, or install a file sent through a message.
