How we grade a claim
Official means Rockstar, Take-Two or an official platform source directly supports it. Reported means a named publisher presents original reporting but first-party confirmation is missing. Not announced means no supporting first-party statement was found. Unverified means the claimed detail cannot be established from reliable evidence. Disproven is reserved for a claim that reliable evidence directly contradicts; absence alone is not disproof.
An official screenshot can prove that Rockstar showed an object. It cannot always prove the object’s name, final function or availability in every mode.
The disc claim is a useful example of disproven: Rockstar directly says “no disc” for the announced boxed launch version. In contrast, no PC date or voice-actor credit is an absence of announcement. We do not turn that absence into a permanent “never.”
PC release rumours
Rockstar’s current launch pages list PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. We found no PC version, Steam page or PC release date in the checked first-party materials. Previous Rockstar release patterns are historical context, not a GTA VI schedule. See the maintained PC and Steam status.
File-size rumours
No final download or installed size was listed in the official sources we checked. That makes unsupported exact figures unverified, not proof of a different exact size. Store placeholders and screenshots can be misleading. The file-size guide explains how to verify the real figure when it appears.
Online and performance rumours
Rockstar describes GTA VI as a single-player experience in its current preorder announcement. That does not rule out a future online announcement, but GTA+, GTA Online or store boilerplate are not confirmation of a GTA VI multiplayer launch plan.
Likewise, there is no independent launch-build testing yet. Platform marketing features and edited video do not establish exact resolution, frame rate or an objective console winner. The same care applies to cross-play, cross-save and subscription availability: none should be described as confirmed without a direct product statement.
Map and character rumours
Rockstar names several Leonida regions, but does not publish a final full boundary or size. Fan reconstruction should remain labelled as community work. Rockstar also does not name performers on the character pages checked, so look-and-sound comparisons remain guesses.

Each claim is checked against its own evidence rather than the popularity of a video or search result. The official announcement timeline records first-party changes in date order.
Send yourself through the source test
Ask four questions: Who made the claim? Where is the original page? When was it published? Does the wording actually say what the headline says? If the trail ends at another repost, cropped image or prediction, the claim is not confirmed.
